Poster session of PBL projects carried out at the Silesian University of Technology

Due to the dynamically evolving job market in high technology sectors, changing approaches to learning, increasing student awareness of their interests, and the necessity to compete in the global market, the Silesian University of Technology (SUT) has adjusted its educational methods to meet these new challenges.

Description The poster session will feature presentations of results from the top 60 Project-Based Learning (PBL) projects, in the form of posters, which received funding under the Excellence Initiative – Research University programme, within the 10th competition for PBL projects by SUT students and the 5th competition for scientific circles of the SUT in the academic year 2023/2024. PBL projects are interdisciplinary. Each project group is supervised by two or three mentors with complementary competencies. Each project group includes students representing at least two study programmes, graduation paths, or specialisations. Projects involving collaboration with foreign universities are particularly encouraged. During project implementation, students have access to consultants invited by their mentors. The primary goal of project-oriented education is to impart knowledge to students in an easily digestible manner, encourage them to think logically, demonstrate links between various topics, and integrate them into a coherent study programme.
