The International Congress on Education Quality gathers people interested in issues related to education quality assurance systems, monitoring the quality of education, accreditation, internationalisation of education, development of teaching competences and distance learning.
The Congress has been organised for three years now by 7 public universities in Katowice and this year it will be held from 23 to 25 October. The third edition of the Congress is unique primarily because for several months now in Katowice, the European City of Science 2024, all public universities have been involved in activities aimed at transforming the region through science. Education and its quality, social responsibility of science, and citizen science are key issues inspiring various activities related to this honourable title.
This year’s Congress, organised in the European City of Science Katowice 2024, will be a space for reflection on the quality of education from the international perspective. We will share our experience and good practices in regards to the internationalisation of education, the effects of international educational projects, as well as teaching innovations successfully implemented by Polish and foreign universities. In this respect, the idea of European Universities implemented by many Polish universities becomes important for the Congress. Other key issues concern double diplomas, European diplomas, student and employee mobility, and building strong international partnerships around strategic aspects of education.
The internationalisation of education and the use of solutions already developed and tested by leading European universities is crucial in such a dynamically changing world. The development of artificial intelligence and its impact on education, the participation of students in shaping their own educational paths, or education for the professions of the future are also the topics that cannot go unnoticed during the Congress. We will therefore build common knowledge around them, inspiring each other to find the best solutions for improving the quality of education.
