„The Brain During Teaching and Learning Activities”
The brain enjoys didactic challenges because it learns solely through predictive errors. Difficult problems in the didactic process come in two forms: complex, when communication fails, and cumbersome, when cognition fails. The lecture will present three key features of a good message (multidimensionality, Charles Bennett’s criterion of logical depth, Rolf Landauer’s principle) and three key features of efficient cognition (activity, selectivity, and categorization). The theory will be supplemented with practical tips to enhance the teaching process |
