Description | The presentation will focus on the strategies implemented by the Medical University of Silesia meant to increase the accessibility of education for international students. Other related issues that will be discussed include challenges and solutions to integrating students from different cultures and ensuring equal access to educational resources and academic support; recommendations of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Medical Universities regarding the accreditation of the World Federation for Medical Education for medical graduates; an well as initiatives promoting multiculturalism at the university. Additionally, the topic of American accreditation of medical studies at Polish universities, which was carried out on 5 June 2024 by the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA), will also be discussed. This decision means that Polish medical universities, including the Medical University of Silesia, can apply to participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan programme allowing American students to apply for funding for studies at Polish medical universities. |
