Students as young researchers – education through participation in research projects

Research-based education creates opportunities for involving students in research projects, allowing them to develop new skills and competencies, as well as broaden their horizons. Equally important in this regard is the individualisation of the educational process and the supervision of this process by researchers.

Description Discussion panel with the participation of students – representatives from all partner universities and academic teachers as researchers/mentors.

The discussion will cover the following topics:

  • the needs and expectations of young researchers,
  • the involvement of researchers in mentoring students and their intellectual and scientific development (individualisation of the education process),
  • the benefits of research-based education (personal development, broadening of horizons, assistance in future careers, gaining research experience, building a successful scientific career),
  • projects dedicated to young researchers (Pearls of Science, Diamond Grant, Preludium, etc.),
  • developing future competencies through research (analytical thinking and innovation, active learning, reasoning, solving complex problems, critical thinking and analysis, creativity, originality and ingenuity, leadership and social impact).
