| Description | The workshop focuses on the description and critical analysis of the current media ecosystem in order to highlight the opportunities and threats that should be taken into account both in educational processes aimed at young people and in training processes aimed at educators. The media are in fact social environments in which relational and communicative practices are developed, in which identities are forged, where the reality is socially constructed and given meaning and where the public sphere develops. Through the tools of the generational approach – which investigates the relationships between media and generational identities – we will discuss the mutual influences among media narratives, media structures – in particular the current platforms – and the processes of appropriation by the subjects with the aim to identify educational strategies to increase digital citizenship and better face digital challenges. |
